ROLES IN OUR CLUBS
These roles are out in our clubs, the team spend lots of time with our customers face to face and are key to our business success. We have two types of clubs catering for our varied customers, select the roles below to find out more.
This team looks after the electronic Bingo in our clubs and also develops our business through working with the online Gala Bingo team to ensure that our customers are playing with Gala Bingo across all our retail channels including in clubs, online and on the move. They make sure the game play delivers the buzz to our customers, no matter where they are.×

Our General Managers lead and motivate their teams to ensure we are ready for our customers through operational excellence, delivery of service, standards and presentation. Inspiring their team to go further in delivering the best buzz in Bingo. Making fans is at the heart of everything we do and we want to deliver a service which goes above and beyond our customers' expectations. They use their passion, drive and energy to create a haven for our customers, where they are always welcomed and recognised whilst ensuring their teams deliver exceptional results.×
Club Operations Manager
Our Managers manage their teams ensuring we deliver operational excellence. They manage the delivery of service, standards and motivate their team to deliver the best buzz in Bingo. Making fans is at the heart of everything we do and we want to deliver a service which goes above and beyond our customers' expectations. Our Managers use their passion, drive and energy to create a haven for our customers, making sure all customers are welcomed and recognised and have an exceptional experience every time they visit Gala Bingo.×
Club Operations Supervisor
Our supervisors manage the day to day running of our departments, ensuring that the business is set up ready for our customers. Reporting into the Club Operations Manager our supervisors oversee their team and operational factors such as stock control, audits, and health & safety ensuring we are legally compliant. Using their passion, drive and energy they ensure excellence is delivered to all our customers throughout the customer journey.×
Our team assistants are the key contact for our customers, they are instrumental in making sure that our customers have a fantastic time, every time. Our team assistants bring with them a brilliant attitude and deliver an exceptional, fun service, this is at the core of everything they do. In this role there is lots of variety; from working on reception, bar, diner and book sales, no two days will be the same.×
This role is all about creating a fantastic atmosphere for our customers, making sure that our customers have a good time every time. They enhance the game experience delivering the Bingo product to the customer with a sense of fun and flair; creating a welcoming, friendly and comfortable environment that delivers the buzz. They are the voice of our Bingo games celebrating the win with our customers and creating an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement.×
Our Deputy Managers ensure a consistent delivery of the Gala brand in each customer touch point of the club. They deliver departmental and club Operating profit budget through execution of all action plans communicated by the General/Deputy General Manager. Their primary role is to lead a team to deliver a culture of exceptional customer service.×
Genesis - Team Leader
Our team leaders have a specialism they will focus on within one of our Genesis departments. They are focussed on that specific function and supporting the Assistant Mangers to deliver operational and customer excellence. Customer focus is key to this role. All team leaders are passionate about making sure our customers always experience exceptional service and have a great time, every time they visit.
Genesis - Customer Service Host
Our hosts are the key contact for our customers. They are instrumental in making sure that our customers have a fantastic time. Our Customer Service Hosts bring with them a brilliant attitude and deliver an exceptional, fun service, these values are at the core of everything they do. This role has lots of variety, no two days will be the same.
Genesis - What is a Genesis club?
Genesis is our new concept , 3rd Generation bingo offer. It's all about broadening the appeal for bingo and making it relevant for all Gala customers new and existing. Genesis will balance our differing customer needs by providing a modern, multi-zoned bingo venue where our customers can play the game they like, the way they like it. Genesis: One game, so many ways to enjoy it.
Genesis General Manager
Our Genesis General Manager will balance our differing customer needs by providing a modern, multi-zoned Bingo venue where our customers can play the game they like, the way they like it. They lead and motivate their teams to ensure operational excellence, delivery of service, standards and presentation. Inspiring their team to go further to deliver the best buzz in Bingo. Making fans is at the heart of everything we do and we want to deliver a service which goes above and beyond our customers' expectations. Using their passion, drive and energy they create a haven for our customers, where they are always welcomed and recognised. It's their role to make sure that Genesis provides an experience which is second to none.
Genesis Deputy General Manager
Our Genesis Deputy General Managers will assist the General Manager to implement the business plan and deliver a leading branded, entertainment and hospitality proposition. They will lead the club from the front, with an emphasis on coaching of direct reports to enable them to grow the business and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role is key in ensuring we have the right people, in the right place to make sure our customers have a good time, every time.×
Genesis - Assistant Manager
Our Assistant Managers love spending time with our customers and are always delighted to see them. Their role is to make our customers feel special and important, so they visit us again and bring their friends and family with them. This role is focused on delivering across all key departments within the clubs, ensuring the team are set up to deliver the best buzz in Bingo.
This team help the clubs by looking at the way in which our customers like to play games with us including Main Event Bingo and Party Xtra games. They ensure that they are the right types of games for our customers and that they enable our customers to have a great play experience and generate income for our business.×
Food and Beverage
This team is responsible for ensuring that our customers are provided with great food and drink, at a great price, delivered to the highest standards. Food is important to our customers and is key to us being able to create Bingo fans within our business.×
The Operations Support team play a vital role in aiding our Bingo club to deliver the buzz. They support the business, maximizing the effectiveness of the Bingo Regional and Club Operations teams. They do this through the implementation of a number of key initiatives and managing communication with the clubs, ensuring all information and projects are launched right first time.×
This team manages all of the accounts for the business, they help us to understand how we are performing.
Planning and Analysis team
This team undertakes analysis of our activities and help us to understand what our targets should be and ultimately how we can achieve these.
Risk Management Support
The Risk team cover a wide range of disciplines including Audit, Security, Health and Safety and Claims Handling. The Risk team are there to support our clubs, keeping the people and the business safe and protected. Therefore, enabling the clubs to do their job better and give our customers a great time.×
The property team manage all of our estate including project management of refurbishment and development of new sites. They ensure that our clubs are set up so that customers have a great time in our venues maximising our estate to the benefit of the business.×
This team helps us to understand who our customers are and why they like to spend time in Gala Bingo.
CRM (Customer Relationship management)
This team looks at how we can best promote our business and which customers we should target to get the best results, effectively managing our customer relations.
This team ensures that our Brand is protected and that all materials that are used as the Bingo division as a whole meet the requirements of our guidelines and guarantee our customers get a consistent brand message.
The IT department supports our clubs by ensuring that the systems and tools we have in club are up to date and working and enable our clubs to effectively make Gala fans of our business. As part of their function they make sure that all new starters have all the right equipment to be able to deliver within their role. On occasions there may be problems with equipment or systems and we have an IT helpdesk who supports the clubs or individuals if they have a problem.×
The Recruitment function supports our clubs by attracting and sourcing the right Gala colleague who will deliver the buzz to our customers. They manage the whole process for the applicant providing the business with support on cv sifting, interviewing, assessment centre and offer management. They ensure that all applicants have a great experience and that the business has the highest quality individuals working for them.×
Learning and Development
The learning and development team provide learning interventions which support the business to deliver its goal of creating Gala Fans. Through design and delivery they upskill our people to ensure that they have the tools to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is achieved through a variety of different methods including coaching, e-learning solutions and onsite training.×
The Employee Relations team protect and safe guard the business providing them with first class ER service to all in Gala Bingo. They advise on all employee relations issues; in particular they are the specialists for employment legislation and company HR policies and procedures.
The HR Business partners play a key role in the success of the business. They provide HR support to our Regional Managers and their teams to ensure the effective implementation of the Business and People Plans. They lead HR initiatives and projects within their regions and drive the overall implementation of the Bingo People Plan.×
The engineers support our clubs by ensuring that all of the equipment we have in our clubs is working and that it is always operational for our customers. Our engineers are also on call so they can resolve any issues as quickly as possible.×
The machines team make sure that each club has slot machines that are relevant to the customers in the club; they look to maximise the profits of the machines by ensuring that we deliver great customer service and that machines are in the right locations in club to get the best possible experience for our customers.×
Machine Product - The Machine product team source new exciting products for our customers. They look at trends within machine products and will bring new products to our business that will enhance our customer experience. Whilst making sure that they create a fun, exciting gaming environment that generates income for the business.×
Genesis - Presenters
Our Presenters will be the centre of our customers' gaming experience. They play a key role in managing the customers' journey. It's all about hosting the games in a way which delights our customers, creates excitement and drives a truly excellent experience ensuring that they deliver the best buzz in Bingo. They are professional performers, who love being centre stage and know how to work a mic and a room to deliver a great gaming experience for our customers.×
